Ellen’s practice focuses on disputes in trial and appellate courts concerning estates, trusts, and guardianships. She also advises estate administrators, executors, trustees, and guardians in uncontested administrations. Ellen works closely with her clients to reach effective resolutions to important issues.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained positive mediation results in representing beneficiaries of estates in cases against bad-acting executors and administrators
  • Favorably defended fiduciaries in response to allegations of breach of fiduciary duty
  • Successfully defended a proposed ward against allegations of incapacity in a permanent guardianship proceeding
  • Defeated unsuitable applicant who sought guardianship of incapacitated elderly person
  • Represents executors, administrators, and guardians in all phases of estate administration
  • Represents beneficiaries and heirs of estates to protect inheritance rights
  • Routinely serves as attorney ad litem, guardian ad litem, guardian of the estate, and administrator as appointed by Dallas County Probate Court Judges
