The NITA conference is part of the firm’s commitment to continuing education for its staff, in this case focused on attorney trial skills.

National Institute for Trial Advocacy: Training Conference
Held in Boulder, Colorado, the NITA training conference consisted of two days of exercises which simulate various aspect of a trial. The three attorneys from Burdette & Rice, along with eight other participants from throughout the United States were coached by two of NITA’s most accomplished instructors. Each participant was video recorded making multiple presentations and was critiqued for skills using voice, gestures, body language, range of emotions expressed, and the pace at which presentations are made. The presentations made by firm attorneys included scenarios from will contest cases and disputes involving breaches of fiduciary duties.
